Nathalie and Eric
I want many things...
I've always wanted a pony, I want to drive across the county, I want to be able to get by on less than 6 hours a sleep, I want a Brussels Griffin to play with my little Char Char, I want my cat, little One Eye, to stop waking me up at 5 am, I want Lululemon to open a place in Westwood and Canon L-Series lenses to fall out of the sky...
...and I wanted this wedding.
There was just SOMETHING about Nathalie and Eric; I can't explain it-I just felt so comfortable talking to them, and the longer we talked about their wedding the more and more I wanted to photograph it. I didn't care where it was, how large it was, how many locations...I just knew I wanted to photograph this wedding (and so did Brian-and even my Mom-because I had to call them both and gush for a minute after meeting them).
Almost 9 hours and three locations later this wedding seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. From their first pre-ceremony meeting to the energized reception-which I'm sure lead into a great after party (Eric, thank you for the invite, we wish we could've been there; but I had to get home and see these photos) :-), this day was better than I could've imagined.
Passion Fruit created and catered a gorgeous meal and designed decor that was a perfect compliment to the natural lighting and classic hardwood floors of the
Eagle Rock Women's ClubThank you for allowing us to capture your day as it happened and for some of your fabulous ideas (leading to one of my favorite photos of the night). I enjoy looking at these photos again and again and we cannot thank you two enough!

Karan and Sean
You know when you just get that lucky call? The one giving you good news, the one telling you the plane landed and someone you love is waiting for you, that first date or new job...this was one of those calls. I've been working with
Charles Fretzin for years, he was the first photographer I worked for when I moved from Orange County to Los Angeles and knew nobody; and years later I have met some incredible brides through him. When he had to have minor surgery and couldn't photograph this wedding, he called to see if I was available for a wedding at
The Brookside Golf Course, and luckily I was.
Upon first meeting Karan I knew this was going to be so much fun (I think fun is actually an understatement). From the vintage-inspired bridesmaid dresses, to the pink and brown polka dot theme, the plethora of photo time Karan scheduled (thank you, thank you, thank you), to the Hokey Pokey, it was a night I will absolutely not forget. Craig from
Craig's Crew helped keep this party going well into the night.
Karan and Sean are the cutest couple; the cutest couple that managed to wrangle their entire wedding party into performing a choreographed zombie-inspired dance number to "Thriller," and ended the evening leading all of their firends and family in the Hokey Pokey.
Thank you Karan and Sean for meeting me so close to your wedding and for trusting me to capture your day; I sincerely appreciate your trust and had so much fun with you guys.

Facebook
I went on a Facebook Frenzy the other day...and saw stuff that made me yelp aloud with joy: my photos. A bunch of my photos as the main images of some of my new Facebook friends/former/current clients. There was child-like hand clapping going on, calls for Brian to "look at this! ooh, ooh, I LOVE this photo! ooh, I think this one was your photo, oh, look another one..ooh! I'm so glad they picked this one!!"
So, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am beyond thrilled to see that you guys are as happy with those images as I am.
And if any of you have a Facebook page and you get a chance:
